Tucked away in the corner of Northwood Recreation Ground, Park Road, Cowes, is the Isle of Wight Model Engineering Society. Formed in 1934 the Society caters primarily for people interested in building and operating working models. Whilst the majority of interests are associated with live steam in all its forms, which includes model boats, a wide spectrum of other model and workshop activities is encouraged.
