The Society’s AGM 2015
The society’s AGM took place 19th November at the Unitarian Hall, Newport. The Chairman, Roger Scott-Roberts, welcomed the members to the meeting which commenced promptly at 19:30.
The chairman asked the meeting to stand for a one minutes silence as a mark of respect for those members who had passed away during the last twelve months.
Reports from the Treasurer and Secretary followed the reading and signing of the minutes from last year’s meeting.
On behalf of the membership The President, Mr Reg Wrenn, gave a vote of thanks to all members of the committee for their hard work over the last twelve months.
Relieving the Chairman of his ‘chair’ The President took over the proceedings for the re-election of the Committee.
Roger Scott-Roberts indicated that he was no longer in a position to carry on as Chairman. He thanked the committee for their hard work, co-operation and good humour over the past year.
The Chairman – Mr Andy Cole was duly elected.
The Vice Chairman – Rev Graham Akers was duly elected
The Secretary - Mr Roger Scott-Roberts was duly elected
Assistant Secretary - Mr Ron Truelove was duly elected
Treasurer - Mr Stuart Makemson, re-elected
Press, Publicity and Webmaster - Mr Roger Scott-Roberts, re-elected
Mr Denzil Ashwin, Mr Ian Gordon and Mr Daniel Callcut were elected as General Committee Members.
Following the election of officers the committee now stands as follows:

Mr Laurence Hunt and Mr Brian Weston were re-elected as the Society’s auditors.
Following the tea break the Society’s yearly auction was conducted by Mr John Helps. Around 5 lots were ‘knocked down’ in all.
